A celebration of the diverse talent found in the studios of SALTBURNARTISTS’PROJECTS.

We are proud to present the work of; Andy Broderick, Mags Hayden, Kath Himsworth, Glenn Humphrey, Glynis Johnson, Derek Mosey, Alison Nelson, Georgina Peak, Karin Walland, Helen Welford, Amanda Wood, and Kathryn Wren.

The exhibition showcases the rich breadth of ideas and skills housed in the studios. One off pieces will cover drawing, painting, prints, sculpture, installation and mixed media. An interesting mix of subject matter includes the exploration of line and mark-making to an installation commenting on the business of being an artist!

“I am very interested in the feeling of animation and the sense of being alive that lines and marks can convey when portraying these subjects. The key elements in my drawings are spirit and process.”
Andy Broderick

“At present my practice involves combining hand-made and digital processes, working ‘between’ different modes of practice such as painting, installation, video and digital imagery”.
Georgina Peak

“I perceive colour as a language possessing a vocabulary of its own. I use colour to communicate feelings or mood which I then manipulate. Painting offers me a mode of escape from daily limitations and an immeasurable quality of life involving intense application and discipline.”
Amanda Jane Wood
