Patternation - Paper Art, Surface Design
Since graduating in 2010 with a degree in Textiles and Surface Design, I have been on a pattern-filled journey of discovery.
My journey started with textiles, but my passion for paper soon took over and Patternation was born. I produced and launched my first collection of wallpapers in 2014, which included my New Design Britain award-winning Gold Mosaic print. Wallpaper led onto homeware, which led onto cards, gifts and handcrafted decorations.
Despite the continuously changing product ranges, one thing has remained a constant and that’s my love of paper. Inspired by some of my favourite things, from nature and flowers to art, decorative ceramics, tiles and mosaics, I now focus mainly on creating beautiful paper cut artworks and getting lost in the therapeutic process of papercutting.
I continue to take steps throughout my practice to make everything I do sustainable, using recycled papers and environmentally friendly materials where possible.
