Excited by new perspectives and opportunities I am enjoying being able to devote most of my artistic energy to my own creative practice.
My life seems to have always been influenced by art and design.
A creative household inspired early passions for art and making. Studying printed and woven textiles at the Northern School of Art was followed by employment in the textile industry. Later I switched, via youth work, to teaching art and design at secondary level. The opportunity to work with a wide variety of media in the classroom now inspires my own work in both stained glass, ceramics, costume and textiles; or indeed any other media wherever inspiration strikes.
Teaching is still integral to my practice, always a pleasure to share my skills and knowledge via workshops and tutoring.
